THE CHALLENGE
Create one retail system for dealerships that aren't all the same.
Dealer networks rarely operate within identical footprints. Store size, floorplan, merchandising requirements and customer-service areas can vary considerably from one location to another.
The challenge was to create a consistent Bobcat retail environment without requiring every dealership to use the exact same configuration.
Adapt to different dealership layouts
Develop fixture components that could be rearranged around different footprints and retail conditions.
Make program inventory more flexible
Create a component-based system that could be stored efficiently and configured based on individual dealership needs.
Support multiple dealership functions
Bring merchandising, service, checkout and product presentation into one coordinated fixture family.
Simplify dealer ordering
Give locations a structured way to select and order fixtures from the program.

THE SOLUTION
One dealership system. Multiple ways to configure it.
Benchmarc developed a modular fixture architecture that gives Bobcat a consistent branded environment while allowing individual dealerships to configure the program around their own space.
BRANDED GONDOLAS
Flexible merchandising fixtures create structured product zones while carrying the Bobcat visual language throughout the dealership.
FREESTANDING DISPLAYS
Standalone fixtures add merchandising capacity without tying the dealership to one permanent floorplan.
MOBILE PRODUCT PLATFORMS
Movable platforms provide flexibility for changing products, layouts and merchandising priorities.
SERVICE DESKS + CASH WRAPS
Customer-facing operational areas were incorporated into the same fixture language as the merchandising environment.
MODULARITY
Designed around the dealership. Not the other way around.
A scalable dealer program cannot depend on every location having the same floorplan. A common family of modular components can preserve a consistent brand and merchandising language while adapting to different retail environments.
01
Merchandising
Flexible product presentation.
02
Service
Integrated customer-facing fixtures.
03
Configuration
Reconfigurable components for different layouts.
DEALER EXPERIENCE
Make the program easier to use behind the scenes.

Benchmarc also developed a custom web-ordering component to support the dealership fixture program, giving dealers a more structured path to the fixtures available within the system.

THE RETAIL EXPERIENCE
The system has two users:
the customer and the dealer.
For the customer
A more cohesive environment
Merchandising, service and checkout feel visually connected.
Clearer product presentation
Purpose-built fixtures give products a more intentional place in the showroom.
A consistent brand experience
The physical environment reinforces the Bobcat brand throughout the dealership.
For the dealer
Flexible configurations
Modular components respond to different footprints.
Simpler ordering
A structured ordering system creates a clearer path into the program.
Greater adaptability
Components can be reconfigured as needs change.
BENCHMARC SCOPE

THE OUTCOME
A more flexible platform for a distributed dealer network.
Rather than relying on one fixed dealership layout, the Bobcat program created a common fixture architecture that could support different locations while maintaining a consistent retail environment.
Adaptable
Reconfigurable components can respond to different retail footprints and operating needs.
Consistent
A shared fixture language connects merchandising, service and checkout areas.
Manageable
Unassembled components provide a more flexible approach to program inventory.
Structured
Custom ordering connects individual dealership needs with the larger program.

Managing merchandising across a dealer network?
Different footprints, operators and product requirements can make dealer programs difficult to standardize. Benchmarc can help create a fixture platform that preserves brand consistency while giving individual locations the flexibility they need.
